About Us
Shivesta as established by Vaidya Alok Kumar Mishra with the mission to stop the medicalisation of Ayurveda & to achieve the goal of Ayurveda “to preserve life, and restore health and well-being”. The smiles we have been collecting made us the conspicuous veterans of Ayurvedic Treatment in Jharkhand.
All medicine utilized at Shivesta are prepared strictly adhering to authentic ancient Ayurvedic formulation and procedures. The therapies are performed by a respected group of well experienced therapists & staff.
Shivesta is doubly blessed as an institution with a wealth of knowledge acquired through tradition while its doctors are trained in modern Ayurvedic medical colleges and hospitals. Additionally Shivesta is from the land of Baba Baidynath (Master of medicine or lord of vaidyas LORD SHIVA) Deoghar Jharkhand.
Shivesta a sanskrit word means Bilwa or Bel. Hindu texts and scriptures are full of narrations of the medicinal and healing properties of Bel patra. Its trifoliate shape signifies the three gunas (components), namely the Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. According to Hindu mythology, the leaf also represents the holy trinity–Bramha, Vishnu and Mahesh i.e. Shiva. In addition to all the symbolisms attributed to the deeply revered Bel leaf (bilvashtakam) or Bel patra, it is also known to be lord Shiva’s favourite i.e. Shivesta.

Vaidya. Alok Kumar
Dr Alok Kumar with his bachelor’s degree in Ayurvedic Medicine (BAMS) from A & U Tibbia College, Delhi University. Other than his brilliant academic records, Dr. Alok Kumar served as a production manager in Ayurvedic pharmaceutical companies and consulting physician in Patanjali. Through continuous innovation and research, Dr. Alok Kumar has specialized in treating patient having renal & ano-rectal disease with ayurveda. Now as a consulting physician in Shivesta Chikitsalay, he is also in charge of pharmacy of the firm. His enthusiasm and undying commitment towards Ayurveda, enables him to drive the hospital to national fame.
